Day 22: Early morning ambush

As we were leaving the driveway this morning, heading to school, we had four sheriff cars suddenly pull up and block our exit. One of them is a K9 unit. I am still in my pajamas, with no jacket, and it is 18 degrees outside. I get out of the car to find out what is the matter. Apparantly, they had just received an anonymous tip about someone wearing a ski mask while driving a bronze SUV on a neighboring street in our subdivision. This is very unusual since we have had no known crimes from our neighborhood in the 11 years we have lived here. After talking with them for few minutes, they split up and I take the kids to school. The excitement around here never ends.
