Halloween is finally here but so is the rain again also. Steve took the kids trick or treating using the UTV so they could stay as dry as possible during the heavy rain.
This is the pumpkin Bailey picked out from the pumpkin patch at school. Since the boys were riding in WV again we decorated the pumpkin Bailey-style for Halloween tomorrow.
Patrick and Bailey like to fight over who gets to clean the windows. You would think we wouldn't have any dirty windows. That usually isn't the case though since Bailey is still perfecting her technique.
Since the boys haven't done anything memorable lately, I'll keep taking pictures of Bailey. I think the school routine is getting to them. They are ready for a break!
Bailey has a trunk full of dress up clothes that she digs into once in a while. I'll be busy doing homework and she will appear wearing something like this.
Bailey's preschool class has turned their classroom into a spaceship. They can turn off the lights and see space while playing in their makeshift spaceship. For a craft activity, they made spaceships and put them on display above their spaceship.
Football proved to be a really challenging sport requiring much patience. Bradley is not very patient at all. He had football practice 4-5 days a week for 2-3 hours plus a game each Saturday. To help keep him motivated, Steve offered a special RC car. In the end, it finally worked and Bradley had reached his goal.
Now that all of the chicks have hatched, they are ready for adoption. The students in Bradley's class enjoy a little playtime with them before they are adopted. Bailey sat next to Bradley and watched him hold one of them.
In Bradley's class, they are learning about the lifecycle of a chicken. They began with a fresh batch of fertilized eggs from a local 4-H club and now 21 days later they are beginning to hatch.
It's a new school year! Bradley is so excited about starting second grade. Patrick was so excited, he jumped on the bus before daylight this morning. Bailey has two more weeks before her first day. She cannot wait!
It's hard to believe that last year at this time we were in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico celebrating Bailey's 3rd birthday on a cruise ship. Bailey's birthday is a bit jumbled up this year due to Bradley's football schedule. We spend almost every day on the football field watching Bradley practice. So we met Steve at Pizza Hut for lunch and had a mini party for Bailey so she could open her presents. She was very excited about it.
Here is my attempt to track our year in pictures, one day and one picture at a time. Some days will be more eventful than others but each day promises to bring its own challenges and excitement. Come enjoy 365 days in our house!
