May 29: Another Letter

I got another one!

May 28: Science Night

Bailey enjoyed playing in the worm poop while Bradley enjoyed shocking me repeatedly. What fun! Notice the pretty sign I made.

May 27: Cat in Tree

One of our neighbor's cats ran their other cat up a tree. The chaser jumped down but the chasee didn't want to chance it. After 24 hours, they called a specialist to come get their kitty down for them.

May 26: Fun on the trampoline

with Patrick 1, Patrick 2, and Bradley 1, Bradley 2.

May 24: More rain

By day three of persistent rain, the kids were anxious to play outside regardless of the weather.

May 22: Litchfield Beach, SC

For the kids, the highlight of going to see the grandparents is a day trip to a beach. This is one of our favorite spots since we can take Maggie along with us.

May 21: Are we there yet?

When it's been a while since we have been on a load road trip, we always hear this repeatedly. Bradley and Bailey have a hard time understanding a 5 hour road trip. To help pass the time, Bailey entertained herself by making a necklace using bendy sticks.

May 19: New Toys

and repaired toys for Maggie

May 17: Bikes

Finally a dry, sunny day, perfect for riding dirt bikes.

May 16: Festive Tree

Bailey helped decorate the tree for Memorial Day.

May 15: Unicorn

After waiting patiently for two months, I finally took Bailey to Build-A-Bear to get her very own pink unicorn with wings. She loves this thing so much and it goes well with her My Little Pony collection.

May 14: Rainbow

These were an everyday, multiple times a day, year-round occurrence in Hawaii but we really do not see them very often in North Carolina. But when the kids see a rainbow they get so excited about it.

May 13: Butterfly Farm

Bailey has been looking forward to visiting the Butterfly Farm for days now. They had a short presentation beforehand and explained the parts of a butterfly and a few other tidbits and then let the kids loose in the screened farm area. Bailey loved having so many butterflies flying so close to her and landing on us. She carried around a little pad soaked in sugar water that the butterflies land on and drink from. Every day since that she talks about going back to the Butterfly Farm and playing with the butterflies.

May 11: Bounce

The kids love to bounce and jump around in this thing every once in a while.

May 10: Happy Mother's Day!

This is all my stuff! Bradley wondered why I like the number 8 so much and Bailey was jealous of my snowman. Patrick and Bradley each made me something special in art class and wrote a special message to me. They are so funny because when they get home they like to sneak it upstairs and hide it until Mother's Day. I finished up my classes early so that I could enjoy the day on my terms rather than with my head stuck in a book.

May 9: Flowers

Bailey's flowers are growing so well!

May 8: Mother's Day Tea

Patrick's 5th grade class hosted a Mother's Day Tea Party this afternoon. Bailey was so excited to go to a real tea party. It just about did Patrick in to be so outspoken and mushy but he tolerated it well. He was more than ready to push me out the door so he could get busy with his academics for the rest of the afternoon, despite my attempts to talk him into coming home early.

May 7: Snack Time!

May 6: Woopie

Bailey sets this up waiting for the perfect sucker. She doesn't like to be discreet.

May 5: Tooth Fairy

Comes for another visit tonight.

May 4: PTA Program

Bradley performs in tonight's PTA program! We never knew he could sing that well.

May 3: Another tooth...

Is about to fall out! It's laying down in there.

May 2: Less than thrilled?

Bradley thinks homework is downright painful.

May 1: More Rain

A quick rainshower sends the kids to the playhouse for cover.

Apr 30: Earth Day Plants

They are growing!

Apr 29: Field Day

In our attempts to avoid 90+ heat and high humidity, we moved field day up one month and this is what happens; 54 degrees, windy, and misting. The weather man was about 20 degrees off today and my arms froze. Bradley had a wonderful time though. Anytime he gets to run around outside and play we know he is having a good time. Most of my action shots were blurry because of all the tiny raindrops but I did catch a picture of him flirting with the girls. Afterwards I snapped another one of him with his teacher. We let Thomas come home with us (early) and the boys played outside for a couple of hours before we had to leave and go pick up Patrick.

Apr 27: Sandwich, Bailey-style

It has 3 of her favorite things: bread, marshmallows, and cheese. The ham was just for show. She ended up picking at it a bit before finding something a bit more appealing.

Apr 26: Bailey's Flowers

Bailey tending to her flower garden.

Apr 25: Letters

One of Bailey's things. We find stuff like this all the time. This time she took her magnet letters and lined them up on the floor. Ignore the dirty floor, I'm busy doing Chemistry Labs.

Apr 24: Earth Day

Bradley enjoyed a full day of fun activities centered around Earth Day. I caught him finally sitting down to eat lunch about 1:30. It was a busy day!

Apr 22: Pollen

This is going to be miserable!
