The day I have feared for a while is here. After 2 years of perfect health, Bailey got sick. She never sleeps so she obviously doesn't feel well. She is also burning up with fever but all I can give her is Feverall Suppositories and that only cools her down to the hundreds. I took her to the doctor today because her breathing was very raspy and I wanted to get the correct dosage for her suppositories. Her lungs were clear but she doesn't have croup or strep so something else is wrong. They started her on the Rocephin shots (2 each day) and did a throat swap for a 24 hour culture and the finger prick. We go back in on the 13th to see what happens next.
Thank goodness for online learning or I would have missed my first day of class!
